FAQ

When will the repair to my vehicle be complete?

Because of the many steps involved in collision repair, it is difficult to estimate accurately the amount of time it will take to complete repairs. Completion times depend on insurance approvals, part availability, and supplement approval for items not included in the original estimate. These are only a few of the steps involved in the repair process, and each step occurs in its own time frame, making it impossible to determine an exact completion date. What is the warranty of Honda City’s Body Shop?

Honda City offers a Lifetime Warranty for as long as you own your car against defects in workmanship and materials on repairs performed in our shop.

When and to whom do I pay my deductible?

Unless otherwise specified, all deductible payments are made to Honda City upon completion of repairs.

Can the shop buy or pay my deductible for me?

No. When you purchased your insurance policy, you signed a contract to pay the first portion of your claim up to the total deductible amount. Repairers should not be asked to hide, bury, or pay your deductible as this would constitute insurance fraud by both the shop and consumer. Oftentimes shops that offer to pay your deductible, are using money that was supposed to go toward the repair of your vehicle. This may result in you receiving improper or unsafe repairs from them

Will recycled or aftermarket parts be used in the repair of my vehicle?

Our estimates are written using new OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts. However most insurance policies will only pay for recycled or aftermarket parts on a repair when they’re cost effective. Check your insurance policy or ask your agent to see what you agreed to on your policy. We will make every attempt to price match a recycled or aftermarket part to use a new OEM part in its place, but this is not always possible. All recycled and aftermarket parts are inspected for quality and fit.

Do I qualify for a free loaner?

If you have rental coverage on your insurance policy, or are the claimant, you qualify for an insurance funded rental car.

Do I have to take my car where my insurance company recommends?

No. It is the state law in Wisconsin that you may take your vehicle to any facility you choose for your collision repairs. This will not result in any additional cost to you. We have a good working relationship with, and are well versed with all insurance companies that offer services in our area.

Can you tow my car?

No, the insurance covers the tow of your car here.

Can you open an insurance claim for me?

No, we can not open an insurance claim for you.
